Admissions

Age range

Supreme Start School provides specialist education for pupils aged 5 to 11 years.

Type of placement

The school supports children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other complex or additional learning needs. All pupils attending the school must have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Referral process

Placements are normally arranged through the Local Authority. When a referral is received, the school reviews the pupil’s EHCP and any supporting reports to determine whether we are able to meet their needs. Where appropriate, a consultation or assessment visit may be arranged before a placement is confirmed.

Admissions criteria

Each referral is considered individually. A placement will only be offered where:

  • The school can meet the pupil’s needs.
  • The placement is suitable alongside the needs of other pupils.
  • An appropriate place is available.

School capacity

Supreme Start School has capacity for up to 20 pupils.
