Curriculum

Our curriculum has been crafted in alignment with our core guiding principles. We offer three pathways, all connected to the NEN Framework, enabling our students to transition between pathways when they demonstrate consistent progress.

The curriculum is built upon the foundation of Communication and Language, as we recognise this as the most essential element of learning and comprehension. This foundation is crucial for our pupils, empowering them to engage with the entire curriculum and support their growth and success.

Our curriculum encompasses a diverse array of subjects, themes and topics, ensuring that our pupils enjoy a wealth of opportunities. Beyond the curriculum, our pupils also benefit from daily therapies and specialised interventions tailored to their EHCP targets and outcomes. These therapies are carefully planned in collaboration with our on-site Speech and Language Therapist (SALT), Occupational Therapist (OT) and our Psychotherapist, who supports with counselling, therapeutic interventions and staff training. All staff have been trained to effectively support our pupils.

Our pupils are able to transition through our curriculum phases and cycle maps, in line with their individual needs and progression.
