Education Health Care Plan
EHCP Reviews
At Supreme Start Primary School, we consider for admission, students between the ages of 5 and 11 years of age who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs/ EHCP which refers to social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. Supreme Start adheres to the statutory requirements under the 1993 Education Act that all EHCPs are to be reviewed at least annually. If the Statementing process is underway, our policy also allows us to make an admission. Children without EHCPs can be admitted if we feel that we can meet their needs.
It is important that parents/carers attend the annual review of their child’s EHCP to make sure that at least once a year the school, local borough, and all the professionals involved monitor and evaluate the continued effectiveness and relevance of the provision set out in the EHCP.
